jules // creative portraits

I am always in awe of how the people I photograph come into my life. It was before I moved to Chicago, but I was already aware that I would be moving there at the beginning of the new Year. Jules popped up on my FYP - saw she was located in Chi and we became mutuals. Flash forward to March of 2022 I reached out after seeing the neon sign in one of her videos— I immediately KNEW that it would be cool to photograph play around with the dramatic lighting for portraits. I dm’d her and of course after making sure we were both non-murders from the internet before meeting up. We talked and threw some ideas out there and Jules personal life kinda lined up with some of the emotions I wanted to convey — totally in love and still obsessed with how these turned out. After the shoot Jules even mentioned how healing these portraits where during this season and being able to give those warm feelings of self love is truly something I’ll never get over. I love getting to show you how I see you, best job in the world right?
